Emily Munroe Quilt Cotton backgrounds

This hand-dyed cotton fabric by Cherrywood is a wonderful alternative to wool for the background blocks. Known for their high quality fabrics and subtle gradations, Cherrywood's fabric will give your quilt backgrounds a depth and variety not seen in any other cotton. It reads as a solid, but is really a beautiful tone-on-tone.

Because of supply issues, colors may vary slightly from the picture. The same "look" will be maintained.

Using cotton backgrounds with wool appliqués will be a more economical way to achieve your look without sacrificing the integrity of the original quilt. Not ALL the backgrounds in the original were wool!
